Lightning Wear Apparel was founded in 2006 by athletes who were looking for a new edge in the sports apparel industry. They recognized the demand for a new performance apparel company catered to the hardcore athlete. Surprisingly, the area for true standouts in the industry is limited to the same old brands and styles.  

 

The storm has come and the time for Lightning Wear is now. Our sports apparel is designed to wick perspiration away from the body so that the athlete stays comfortable and dry regardless of weather, and maximize mobility and performance under extreme conditions. Our vision is to offer the best performance apparel available, with a focus on making moisture wicking products that stand out among other players in the industry. Not only will our gear be comfortable and stylish, but engineered to last.  

 

Lightning Wears primary goal is to make our brand affordable and available to athletes of all ages. As we strive to build our brand, we will listen to what athletes, coaches, and staff want in order to meet the needs of our customers and build lasting relationships with them. In time, we will continue to expand our product line to accommodate the latest styles and trends. Please continue to check back with us as we continue to grow and develop our brand.  

 

In the Spring of 2008, LW launched its first official line of team uniforms for men and women. We are now capable of producing and customizing every type of sports uniform for all seasons. Screen printing and embroidery services are available on all of our products. 

 

This site, LacrossePinnies.com specifically caters to the new era. Custom Reversible Lacrosse Jerseys are the signature product. We continue to improve our product and make sure that when you are out on the beach or in a game, you are outfitted with the best quality product. 

 

During this time, we also overcame the temptation to work with overseas manufactures. We set up manufacturing in house. Now, we assemble all of our products from start to finish in Maryland, USA. This has given us the proud ability to be one of the few lacrosse companies to produce all of our gear in the USA. This gives us the flexibility to produce goods when they are needed without shipment or customs delays. In fact, in some cases we have been able to cut, sew and customize an order in one working day.  

We are proud to say that we have expanded our cusotmer base across the globe. This includes customers in Austrailia, Japan, Slovakia, Switzerland, Iraq, South America and Canada.  

 

In July. 2010. we proudly announced the launch of this site, www.LacrossePinnies.com and the opening of our Maryland factory. Our goal is to engage our customer with our new Custom Design Software. We like leaving the process of designing and customizing your product up to you, the customer. At all times in the production and customization process, you are able to create and prepare your order and track it from start to finish.

LightningWear continues to partner with strong youth, high school, collegiate and club/intramural programs and individuals. Thanks to several of our outstanding athletes and teams, LW has made our way in to several National Television and print appearances. We feel this is only the beginning.
